Subject Guides
The St. Cloud State University website is an online tool that comes with a comprehensive Subject Guide. It assists students with different research queries. The assignment calculator provides a 12-step plan on how to finish an assignment on time. This ranges from understanding the assignment to outlining the overall structure and writing the first and final drafts.
The topic areas on the home page can be chosen from a scroll down list. A brief overview of the topics covered is just below the selected topic’s subject line. If the option is Business International the areas covered include; information systems, finance, and real estate among others. The research tools are on the left of the page and are hyperlinked. The same tools are also on the main page. A research tool such as “Articles, Journals, Magazines, and Newspapers" has several hyperlinked databases. These include, LexisNexis Academic, Emerald Full Text, and NetAdvantage.
The hyperlinked database redirects the student to a separate page that requests for a “HuskyNetID” and a password allowing them to login to the Library Proxy Services. Other research tools on the Subject Guide include finding facts, definitions, and overviews, web resources, laws, statistics, and library Information. The “Library Information” option has a tool bar that allows the student to find articles, books, journal titles, and references. It also provides assistance on citation styles and course guides on all disciplines available.
The option to chat with a librarian is also available on the Subject Guide. It lists the semester dates that the library opens, the physical location, timelines on weekdays and weekends, and when it closes. A phone number, email address and the option of live chat are also listed.

Summary of chapter 4

The orphanage was situated in the war-torn town of Nepal. At the beginning, he was at an undecided on the volunteer job. He had doubts because he thought he did not have enough skills to carry out the duty, nor did he have enough passion to carry out the job, especially since the country was at war. This though was pacified by the children who were daring, buoyant who put up a challenge to him, and rewarded him in a way he had never thought. When he learned about their actual situations, and how they overcame them, he was amazed. The children were not orphans, but children traffickers had brought them in the orphanage. Child traffickers had promised families in the cities that they would take the children to a place of safety away from the war, but for a huge amount of fee. They then abandoned these children in the city of Kathmandu, where there was an outbreak of war. What seemed to be an adventurous tour turned out to be a mission; that of uniting these children who had left a mark in his life with their families.

connor talked about, when he returned to Little Princes to work Fund- raising and he found out that was hard. At the end of September he received an email from fellow University of Virginia graduate, from person was her name Liz Flanagan. She wanted get more information about article in the Charlottesville newspaper. He also received a lot of emails from people saying they really would like to work with impoverished children someday. Liz wanted to know if next Generation Nepal was possibly joined with global organization that could recommend. On Easter morning 2004, Hoi An - Vietnam, Zambia - with HIV kids, then South Africa, this Christmas she had plan to go to India. When she was twenty- two, she was in England. Anna Howe, she told me everything about Humla, same age his mother, they met up after a few days when he arrived to Nepal, and Anna worked for in Kathmandu, Find Amita in the path standing on the road holding the two bottles, after that he sent her to Umbrella Foundation, and he had received a phone call from Gyan. To let him know that Amita is safe wit Umbrella, they take care of her.

Conor had for some time tried to find young boys in the Nepal region whose whereabouts were not clear to him.As he was playing in the field one day a call came in for him, it was a “Nepali man” called Gyan and he told Conor that four of the boys had been found and two had been taken to hospital for they were malnourished. The hospital so congested and unclean but there was no alternative. Days later the boys pulled through and were taken to the Umbrella Foundation. Two more boys Kumar and Bishnu were still missing. But in less than a week Gyan communicated to Conor that Kumar had been found but he had already been sold as a domestic slave to some government official. Conor had all the best intentions to get Kumar back but it proved to be difficult to even attempt it. He wrote an e-mail to Farid for updates but that was not enough because he felt guilty for not being able to rescue Kumar. Conor then wrote to Liz who eventually calmed him down

When after Conor and Farid find out six children, but a child named Bishnu was still disappear. He has been missing for nine months. Conor has rent an apartment; the children can be seen from his dwelling place. Nepal’s living conditions was different with United States, they do not have heating system and very limited hot water, so when Conor first time lived in his new apartment, he was freezing, he set up camp in his room. Conor’s lining place has many monkeys, those monkey often hanging off his Internet cable line and cut off his connection to the outside. After a period of time, conor build a good relationship with monkeys. Conor told Liz about his experience, he really wants to Liz visit Nepal and he invites Liz come to Nepal to see children. Liz thought serious considerations finally agree Conor’s invitation.

Analysis

The author is successful in passing his idea to the audience. He uses various literature devices to tell his story. Suspense is used effectively as the story makes one wants to know what happens after each page. The author appeals to the emotions of the people by bringing out the problems these children face.
Connor showed his humanity in this chapter and how he never gives up finding those children and he did not know that he can be able to find them but he found the little princes Amita in the path standing on the road holding the two bottles.
It is a memoir written by Conor Grennan about young children being sold as domestic slavers in Nepal and being forced to survive in the harshest conditions of starvation and malnutrition. The locals like Gyan seem to know of the illegal inhuman business but nobody can do anything about it. Worst is that one of the young boy was sold to a government official which shows how law enforcement is somehow weak in Nepal especially under the human rights department. The medical sector in Nepal is also alarming as the best hospital available is not up to standards.
Chapter 4 was the highlight of the whole book. This chapter describes the Conor and Farid look for child was a difficult process. In my opinions, since Conor’s first step on the ground of Nepal, he could not image that he living in this barren land for three years. And in order to find the lost child home, he went to Humla several times. You will be surprised that what kind of power makes him going to there. To tell the truth, I do not know the reason, but when I finished reading the book, I was impressed by the Conor. Conor has returned to the United State, in other words, he did not have responsibility to back to the Nepal, but the child who lived in home of the little prince keep his heart and catch his all the attention. In the end of this chapter, Conor invited Liz visited Nepal, this made matting for the back of the plot.

“Little Princess”

The novel “Little Princess” analyzes the importance of volunteering. The main character in the novel is Conor Grennan. Grennan lacks a busy schedule and finds something to do that will bring value to his life. He travels globally for fun while seeking volunteer programs that would support people especially children. He starts off by helping children at an orphanage in Nepal for a three month period. The notion depicted by Grennan gives the importance of determination and persistence to succeed. Grennan travels to dangerous locations to assist people in need. Grennan helped many children in the Nepal orphanage by treating them well. He did this within a short duration, building a strong relationship with his new family in Nepal. The Grennan’s aim was to visit sixteen countries to provide his volunteering services. Volunteering increases the social relationship as it promotes interaction with different cultures. “Little Princess” gives an analysis on the importance of volunteering as it is little known to individuals. Conor took a one year adventure to countries offering volunteering services. He made a promise of travelling back for them.
Conor’s passion to volunteer was first filled with uncertainty as he did not know if he had the right skill. The fact that the country that he visited was torn by civil war did not limit him. He overcame the experience and the challenge of living in a new country to save the life of children. The reward that came with the challenge was great as it came as experience. The fact that the children he visited in the orphanage were not orphans devastated him triggering his need to create a better life for children from remote villages. Child traffickers take advantage of the vulnerable families to promise children protection from the civil war only to traffic them.
The issue of child trafficking indicates in the novel as Grennan is shocked to see that the process experiences in poor countries. The illiteracy level in the countries he travels is concerned as he terms this as the reason of child trafficking. People who take part in child trafficking do so for money.  The court fines on child traffickers should be increased to create stronger sanctions. The move will help in reducing the number of children undergoing child labor, slavery and prostitution. The novel provides valid information on the mistakes made by children. The mistake listing helps in avoiding such problems in future.
The audience for the novel can gain experience on how to handle new environments. It helps with handling culture shock as depicted by Grennan. The information on the Nepal orphan creates a basis for organizations in Nepal. Financial support to the Nepalese organization helps in the moral protection of children from crude environments. The internet provides information on the topic with most links originating from the “Little Princess” novel. The films on Conor Grennan depict his amazing works as stated in the novel. It is an interesting and wonderful novel as it provides information on helping children. The fact that Grennan plans to go back for the third time is motivating for the topic on volunteering. It is a fantastic book filled with exciting stories. The novel is best suited for individuals with a thrill of adventure and care. The book gives information on child trafficking methods used in poor countries.

Particular parts of a paper

Here is group (8) and we will present about particular parts of a paper. It contains three basic parts: introductions, body, and conclusions.

What is an introduction?

An introduction is the first paragraph (or paragraphs) of any written work:

  • The first part is the introduction and the introduction need to attract the readers.
  • It needs to have thesis statement.

The first part is the introduction and the introduction need to attract the readers. In addition, gives background on your topic. Also, it needs to have thesis statement. The thesis statement in an essay is a sentence that clearly identifies the purpose of the paper or previews its main ideas. Also the thesis statement should be covering the whole main idea.

What is Thesis statement?

Thesis statement should be covering the whole main idea.

  • The thesis statement in an essay is a sentence that clearly identifies the purpose of the paper or previews its main ideas

The body text should have:

·         Guide the reader into the first piece of evidence you use to support your thesis statement.

The second part is body of text; a body paragraph should open with a transitional sentence. Also, it shall guide the reader into the first piece of evidence you use to support your thesis statement. In addition, when you use a piece of evidence, you should to write at least one or two sentences explaining why you use it. Then the essay is usually made up of 2-3 body paragraphs, just follow these same steps for the others ones.

A conclusion should have:

·         Stress the importance of the thesis statement.

·         Give the essay a sense of completeness.

The third part is conclusion; the conclusion is the final part of paper. Also, Conclusions are often the hardest part of an essay to write, and a lot of writers feel that they have nothing left to say after having written the paper. It has different ways to use .Such as opinion and a writer needs to keep in mind that the conclusion is often what a reader remembers best. Your conclusion should be the best part of your paper.

The Reasons Way The Man WentTo Nepal

Reasons for Going to Nepal
The man, who had other volunteering alternatives to choose from, chose to go to Nepal even in the midst of the Civil War. He chose to volunteer in an orphanage. He wanted his friends and parents to view this period that he was going to spend in Nepal as one challenging feat. This feat would make him to be considered a hero by his friends and parents. The man never had doubt about that because he would be taking care of orphans in one of the poorest countries in the world. He deemed the idea of volunteering in an orphanage to be the ideal way to begin his adventure on his round the world trip. Furthermore, after his first job of eight years, he yearned for something different in his life. He also wanted to spend his entire net worth on a trip round the world, of which Nepal was the first stop.
He had a strong urge about volunteering in a third world country. This urge was so strong that it overrode any potential criticism from his friends and parents. He simply wanted to pass the idea that he was a selfless individual to those who did not recognize it in him.

Reasons for Going Back
Nepal was a long distance away from home and required a lot of sacrifice. Volunteering in an orphanage was a noble course and an experience like no other. Experiences like these to the man were unforgettable and never repeated in life.
While in the orphanage, he grew close the children and shared a strong bond together. Taking care of the children was a responsibility which he found too hard to walk out of. The children were part and parcel of his day-to-day life. They brought joy to those around them.
The kids took him to be their parent because he was there when they needed him. Therefore, with such a strong bond created between them, he deemed it necessary to visit them again. He promised the children that he would return after one year. Furthermore, after promising them, he confirmed that he would be returning after one year for sure.

Comparison Between the Reasons
There is a sense of the man trying to appeal to his friends and parents, in the reasons for going to Nepal. He is motivated to go by the idea of creating a reputation for himself. He wants to prove himself to the world around him. He is just passionate about doing something different from the job that he had. He wanted something that was praiseworthy and that would earn him some respect. The man was not emotional in going to Nepal.
The man is overwhelmed by what is in his heart rather than honor and fame from his friends. He is deeply convicted and promises the children that he would visit them again. The reason is the closeness and the bond they shared deeply within their relationship. The man is very emotional in wanting to go back to Nepal. He has some sense of worth and purpose in his life. There is a change of perspective in the reasons for going to Nepal and the reasons for going back. The transformation is evident in the reasons for the two visits.
